This historic building, once the hot spring retreat of the Sakai family – feudal lords of Shonai during the Edo period – has been renovated by world-renowned furniture designer Eiri Iwakura. Amidst furniture by Iwakura, calligraphy by Roben Ebihara, and works by local ceramic artists, you can fully appreciate the tranquil passage of time in Yudagawa Onsen.
